World’s First AI government advisor šŸ‘©ā€āš–ļø

We’ve seen AI use cases in plenty of different sectors. This one is a little different.

Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă recently introduced a new ā€œhonorary adviserā€ to his cabinet.

Ion is the new member and is run on AI that is equipped with a face and words that appear on a digital screen.

Researchers in Romania developed the AI model to ā€œquickly and automatically capture the opinions and desiresā€ of Romanian citizens according to Ciucă. Romanians will be able to submit their thoughts on social media, in-person locations, and to ā€˜ion.gov.ro’.

Ion will then be used to analyze the information to create reports concerning Romanians’ priorities.

The only question is: how will Ion choose what is considered to be a priority?

We think this could either go really good or really bad.

Have you ever heard of a photo studio with no camera, no real people, and no physical location?

Same

Deep Agency is a photo studio that is 100% AI-generated. It uses:

  • Latest text2img models for photo generation

  • AI models (including a copy of you)

Here’s how it works:

  1. Pick a model

  2. Choose the pose + description

  3. Get high-quality photos thanks to the power of AI

You can even digitize yourself. Upload 20 selfies and within thirty minutes you’ll have a full gallery of professional headshots at your disposal.

That’s the magic of AI

Deep Agency is currently in open beta. You can get full access to the platform for $29/month.

Here’s a full Twitter thread about Deep Agency from its founder Danny Postma.

AI detecting cancer 🩻

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen AI in the health industry.

In the past months, ChatGPT passed the U.S. medical licensing exam, and we’ve seen tools such as Glass AI being developed to help clinicians.

AI software is back, this time helping detect breast cancer, which even doctors missed.

Kheorion Medical’s AI detection software Mia has been used extensively in Hungary. The ground-breaking work has found 13% more cancers than doctors alone.

ā€œLast year, after a test on more than 275,000 breast cancer cases, Kheiron reported that its A.I. software matched the performance of human radiologists when acting as the second reader of mammography scans.ā€

The AI software also dropped radiologists’ workload by at least 30%.

Check out this Twitter thread from Kherion Medical to learn more about Mia!

We think a future where doctors are being assisted by AI is the best-case scenario.

What do you think?

That’s it for today! We’ll see you back here tomorrow!
