ChatGPT just got a major upgrade.

OpenAI recently ChatGPT plugins, allowing developers to create their own.

Our favorite plugin so far is the web browser plugin hosted by OpenAI. ChatGPT will be able to know when and how to search for up-to-date information.

OpenAI is also hosting a code interpreter, that will be able to assist users in coding languages like Python, it can also be used to handle uploads and downloads.

OpenAI’s quiet investment 🤫

OpenAI is back, this time they’re taking a jump into the physical world.

They quietly invested $23M into 1X, a robotics company that produces ‘android capable of human-like movements and behaviors.’

Tesla Optimus?

OpenAI has a history with human-like robots. In 2018, they unveiled Dactyl, a system they designed that manipulated objects using a Shadow Dexterous Hand.

We haven’t heard much about physical products being produced by OpenAI, perhaps this is the beginning. 🤔

Character.AI valuation 📊

How much money could you raise in 16 months?

The folks at Character.ai recently finished a funding round that raised $150 million. The company is now valued at $1 billion, not too shabby for being a 16-month-old start-up.

What is Character.AI?

A start-up based in Silicon Valley, founded by ex-Google employees, based in Silicon Valley. Their chatbot can generate human-like text responses. The platform has been going viral recently for its celebrity AI voices.
