Human Text 🀝 A.I. Text

Relief is on the way for teachers.

Students have used ChatGPT to pass exams, write essays, and complete assignments.

Plagiarism has been hard to detect thanks to the generative text produced by ChatGPT.

We’re just using our resources πŸ€·β€β™‚️

Open AI, creators of ChatGPT, just dropped a new tool that might help out.

The AI Text Classifier is a β€˜fine-tuned GPT model that predicts how likely it is that a piece of text was generated by AI from a variety of sources, such as ChatGPT.’

There are some limitations:

  • Requires a minimum of 1,000 characters, which is approximately 150 - 250 words.

  • The classifier isn't always accurate; it can mislabel both AI-generated and human-written text.

  • AI-generated text can be edited easily to evade the classifier.

  • The classifier is likely to get things wrong on text written by children and on text not in English, because it was primarily trained on English content written by adults.

In a press release, Open AI stated β€œIt should not be used as a primary decision-making tool, but instead as a complement to other methods of determining the source of a piece of text.”

Looks like a step in the right direction.

Not bad.

🀨 What is Artifact?

It’s hard to imagine a world without Instagram.

Whether it’s the hashtags, captions, or filters, we always come back for more.

P.S. Juno is still the best filter

Kevin Systrome & Mike Krieger, founders of Instagram, are back with their next project.

The two co-founders just announced Artifact.

Krieger called it β€œa personalized news feed driven by the latest in artificial intelligence”

Users will be shown content based on the content they interact with.

Basically TikTok for news.
